We like to sing
this silly little song
as we drive across country.
Occasionally we change
the name of the animal
according to what we see
on the roadside (ewwwww!)
Other times, we change
the state, highway #, etc.
We like to have fun in the car....lol
Just hopping onto this one because no-one else had, & I find many memories of my OWN travels, esp. as a child. There were no Interstates, but there WERE dead animals, anr thos ubiquitous Burma Shave signs!!! We never had a radio until our 1956 De Soto, but we sang in church a whole lot, and carried song-books on all our trips to below Mason-Dixon's Line. We didn't really need to manyh of the books, for we knew the songs all by-heart. Our funnest times were singing silly music made up to match the Burma Shave signs! Thanks for the memories. (Real reason for contacting you: go check out Dewey Davis; nice inspiring stuff). CUL
"Poe" I'm not, nor "Rich" am I,
