how did I not notice you?
Out there among the millions
shining brightest of all.
Watching over me
adding a little more light
to my darkest nights.
Although I am unable
to ever reach you
to be close enough to touch.
You have reached out
and touched my heart.
Your brilliance, seen mostly
during the early dawn or
at the dusk of the day
has shown me a true direction
and purpose of life.
Of giving light to everyone
one twinkle at a time.
