"Are you looking at me funny again?" says Sara as she cautiously sips her fresh coffee. "No...Not that I ever really have." Mumbles Jeff through his hand pretending to wipe the milk from his lips. "I was sure you were adoring me again." Says Sara flipping her hair and giggling for show. "Admiration dies off after you get to see peoples faults doesn't it my dear?" Stunned Sara gasped but unable to respond with dignity she shuts her mouth and walks away...Sara was always the classy girl, with the long blonde hair and the legs that never stopped. She liked her favorite jeans and cherry push pops and she liked to kiss in the rain. But if you asked any of her friends they would always say "Sara was the best! She was my best friend from the age of 7. We fought about boys, and zits, and music but we always remained close...She was always just...Well...There!" Everybody knew Sara was a good girl, but Jeff was a different story. He had grown to adore her in the short time they were in touch. But with the adoration came truth, and with the truth came pain...Sara loved Jeff but she wasn't in love with him and so he was heartbroken. See Jeff was a very good looking man but he remained unafraid of rejection because Jeff had never felt sure enough of himself to even approach a beautiful woman. So therefore he had never been put in that position before. Now the pain crept into him like spiders in the grass and he never had a chance to escape it. Mystery and heartbreak enfold him like a merciless force of doom now and steal his spirit. Yet his hands remain unmoved, his stomach in knots, and his ego torn from his feeble existence remains unkempt. So jaded and apathetic he has exchanged the love for hate and the lustful glances for sullen stares in her direction. "Jeff?" "Yeah?" He says frostily as he adjusts his tie. "I do love you...you know that right?" She says clumsily fumbling with her shoe. Her hair in her face...the way he used to look at her gone now and in it's place a cold stare. "Yeah...Sure." Says Jeff. "But anyways I gotta take off okay?" "Yeah I know...I know..." She manages to mumble out. "See you later Sara...I love you too...Ya know?" He says tenderly. She turns away...her fallen heart in her humbled hands. "It's gonna be alright...I promise you." And with the final exchange of words they part unsure of what life entails and when they'll next meet. But inspired by the fact that their story lives on and their love will never die...No matter what...
