I’ve seen life, I’ve seen death
I’ve seen people take their first and last breath
I’ve seen families die before my eyes
I’ve seen children beg for their lives
I’ve seen hope when it’s too late
I’ve seen men the second they break
A lot of what I see I take in the worst
I remember it as if my sight is cursed
The good I take in I try to hold
But the bad out powers and is more bold
I’ve seen so much it’s hard to bear
Because I’ve seen it all, I’m in the air
I am nothing but an everlasting stare.
Okay
Now, I like this one, young man!! I believe that you like dying in your poems, because you would like to be a martyr. And that is okay. Thank you for posting. The way you express how you've seen so much negativity that death is the price you pay for peace. I remember writing about death in the one of my most recent poems called 'If Tomorrow Aint Promised' in my folder, 'Poems of a Liberty City Native'. In it, In it, I speak to my three year old as he is a child in the first stanza and in third I speak to him as he is coming of age. Please comment that one, I would your feedback as a fellow writer. Hey, it may make to your bookmark list. Thank you once again.
