A roar that rules the jungle
Trees replant as they crumble
Sprints at speeds unknown to man
Eyes that seek as they scan
Skin the colour that is wanted
Displays that scare as if they’re haunted
Calls that attract a mate
Scary fish that can inflate
Crocodiles 200 million years strong
Compared to them, we’ve not been here long
Birds, fish, mammals, reptiles, trees and flowers
Nature is the one with all the powers
We hunt, kill and break this earth
Treat it like an eternal hearth
But truth is earth is dying
Can’t you hear our poor planet crying?
Before we were here life was good
Things lived the way they always should.
