I sit here calmed
High in my castle tower
The sun beating upon me
Causing a sudden chill to cower
Long have I imagined
Another being, another time
When I could walk you to the edge
Of misty moors sublime
To a ruined castle we would stumble
And in the land of make-believe
You would make me realize
What a wonderful home this could be
A dark and drafty ruin
I think I'd rather not
The stones once upon the wall
Lay crumbled and the wood is full of rot
"Worry not my love"
You say with a smile
"For hard work is rewarded
And never reached by guile
Do not look upon that which is
But rather that which may
Become a mighty fortress
To keep the beasts at bay"
"Hide your treasures within this keep
I shall guard them whilst you sleep
And come the morning bright and new
Your treasured thoughts shall accompany you
For you are mine to cherish
And with you come your thoughts
So in my care be you free
Of your demons and your haunts"
