I lie suspended in this blackened pool

as thought of past present and future wait

There is no love or hate

In this

This blackened state



Hidden from the world

I do drift

I float in coma

Within its grasp

I long for its solitude

Peace and quiet

All I ask



You ask what has led me

To such an end

The present has no answer

And the past is gone forever

Now it is the future

I fear to tend



My hopes and dreams have failed me

My love for you is lost



I lie here numb

Pondering destiny

Come back to me

Walk with me

Give me reason to move on

And once again feel



Embrace me tightly

So I may feel warmth

Kiss me deeply

So I may feel love

Penetrate my soul

And show me passion





Let me experience once again

What never was

Allow me to dream

Of youthful desires

Shed light on this blackened pool

Take me to the surface

Then take me higher
