I'm Watchin My Back



Well I ain't tryin to jump the gun,

Just tryin to make things right.

Trying to get myself out of the dark,

Trying to out into the light.



Well there's a daydream,

That keeps me goin strong.

People get so mean,

But I'll keep playin my song.



Always watching my back,

Didn't want you to know.

I didn't want you to see that,

But I guess it shows.



I'm not tryin to prove you wrong,

But I know I'm right.

Don't look cause I'm gone,

This time I know I'm not blind.



Call me superstitious,

You can call me a fool.

I don't care what you say I am,

Cause I'm walkin all over you.



There was no one there to save me,

When I've fallen before.

Given up ain't the way to be,

So I come back for more.
