As A Friend



Well I know where you're coming from,

Lord knows I've been there before.

And man I'm just tellin you right now,

That sooner is the best time to get out.



The longer you stay where you're at,

The longer its gonna eat you up.

What's going on is just gonna eat you alive,

Tellin you man, just don't be blind.



You're goin nowhere, I'm tellin you this as a friend,

And as a friend of yours I ain't goin through this again



Well I know you're situtation oh so well,

Much to much that I really care to tell.

But I will tell you you're in a losin situation,

You're tryin to do whats right, but you can't win.



I know that you have your own problems,

Well man, that's just the way life is.

Everybody has to deal with the life they lead,

But feelin down all the time man, ain't the way it has to be.



You ain't goin nowhere, I'm tellin you as a friend

And as a friend of yours, I ain't goin through this again

You're goin nowhere, I'm sayin this as your friend

But for the years I known you, I ain't goin through this again
