You've always known I was a wild one,

And I'm sure it never came as a suprise,

The day I left for somewhere else,

But I never wanted you to cry.



Please, please forgive for everything,

Because I know I've done you wrong.

But sometimes its hard for me to apologize,

So I have to write it in a song.



You said you shed your tears for me,

And all you wanted is for me to come home.

I want to be everything you want me to be,

But I cannot change something I've always known.



You are the one who means so much to me,

And it hurts me inside when I see you cry.

When you lean on my shoulder I can see,

That when we keep each other we're not wasting time.



I'm just a simple kind of person,

And I know thats something you understand.

I am just trying to be the best I can,

And I'm trying my best to be a good man.



Things don't always go right,

They have a habit of going real wrong.
