i wish i could make him see

all the damage he does to me

the hurt we cant get past

the future that wont last

the hurtful words we say

causes scars i feel today

the wounds that never heal

keeps us in the pain we feel

the past we keep repeating

opens the wounds, my heart keeps bleeding

around and around we go

the same steps, different show

i block out your words, the pain i hold inside

keeping the distance to keep me safe, behind my walls i hide

deep within me is beautiful soul

bound by insanity, deep within a hole

my light dont shine as brightly today

the darkness is only a few steps away

but i keep holding on, i wont quit without a fight

im a survivor, a soldier, and our war begins tonight.
