today i woke up and it was another day
the snow was blinding white
and i was glad to feel the sun, glad
to wake up and glad to have landed
i tighten my grip upon my sword and roll
to greet the stretch of time until i return
it does not come for me any longer,
no tengo dolor, no tengo miedo
even the words of poetry in the bookstore
Es tan corto al amor, y es tan largo el olvido
do not touch me anymore
it is gone, the water is gone, i cut it out
and turned my head and woke up
no longer do the leaves even stir
in those lost hallways
i wield a will which mutes all sound
except for the blaring sun pouring through my windows
i am dead to all of it
and ready to fight for life
