Secrets beneath the Asphalt

Sometimes I know

everyone I know will die

Sleep silent city

Secrets beneath the asphalt

A thousand whispers

echo emptily

lost in the atoms in between

endless space and infinity

disappate me

into a sunray on a sunday morning

Your voice was too sharp

your voice was much too hard

sometimes i want

I want to tear this city down

and press my body to the ground

our footsteps

to the tune of your breath

just another name in the concrete

just another heart carved in the street

our footsteps

to the tune of silence

just another name to not forget

just another name to never speak

your voice was so hard

your voice was so sharp

(i need you so much closer)
