Words fall like water from the sky
To moisten dusty throats and crack open parched eyes
I come out of the shelter because I
no longer choose to remain dry
I need the smell of raindrops to
wash my sins away
It was a long cold road to walk today
It was alot of souls to save
I shun this island and choose the rain!
And watch statues rise
to shed stony legs for life
I no longer choose to isolate
I see the ocean welcome warmth in a wet embrace
I feel layers of rock crumble and fall away
I shun this island and choose the rain
I stand and let it soak into the core
and know that somehow, there it stays
Words fall like water from the sky
To moisten dusty throats and crack open parched eyes
I watch statues rise
and shed stony hearts for life
