This prayer goes out to all of you who are happy with our country being divided
into different factions
Who use your God (who preaches the opposite of everything you’re doing)
to justify you actions
Who not only hate people because of the color of their skin, their gender
their religion or who they love…but believe everybody should.
Who think diversity, equity and inclusion are woke and bad…
instead of being woke and good.
Who accept only certain people and to all other close the door…
Who think the answer to some problems are bombs and bullets and war.
Who want to ban books and rewrite history…
Who want to force everyone to see things their way
Who are okay with snatching our citizens off the street, abusing them,
then throwing them away.
Who have stopped caring about every living creature and our planet..
Who would rather not intercede
to house the homeless, feed the poor…and help anyone in need.
Who seem content to live under the rule of a despot who thinks he is a king.
Who will lie and cheat and steal to get ahead…who thinks winning is everything.
Who’s warmth, acceptance, compassion, honesty…and smarts
have diminished as they’ve closed their minds and hardened up their hearts.
Who by everything they do and say think they’re making this country great
but in actuality they are teaching the next generation how to hate.
To all of you who think your words and hateful actions
show the world and others how strong you are
I pray you change
before you meet the God you say you worship…
and he or she shows you just how wrong you are.
Except the final line's "he
Except the final line's "he or she," this poem is EXCELLENT!!!!!
