If our life is spent using kind words we find our kind words help us gather friends
and one day, when we need them most, those kind words pay dividends.
This year we had a friend who lost her sister, another who lost her spouse,
a friend who is battling cancer and yet another who lost his house.
When something tragic happens to someone we love
that will forever alter the way they live….
although we’d love to offer more…
sometimes
kind words are all we have to give.
Following misfortune and heartache there is no blueprint to follow
no prospectus…no master plan…
So we offer them as many words of kindness…
words of love
words of compassion
and encouragement as we can.
We send our words on paper, on a wish…a dream…a prayer
hoping our words will wrap around and hug them when we’re not standing there.
Could it be those original words of kindness that led to friendship
when we see our friends suffer…or fall….
and return those kind words to them…
are the most beautiful words of all?
