A SECRET WISH OF PARENTS

Parenting has its ups and downs…its a series of highs and lows

with the understanding we have a vital role in how our children grow.

We try to light the way on whatever path they take

Hoping all of our successes will outshine all of our mistakes.

It’s a secret wish for us as parents…I imagine our parents and their parents had

that the good we do as parents will far outweigh the bad.

So when our children are grown…the people they become we will embrace

and know we had a part in putting that smile on their face.

Thinking despite our flaws and imperfections…we must have done something right

knowing when they shine in life…we were the origin of that light.

And now when we sit together and our children we discuss….

We’re proud of the adults they’ve grown into…

because of…
