Since i was little my father inculcate me the importance of sports. He thought sports are very important through out your childhood. My father always told my that during my life i will need to learn some important things such as teamwork and the importance of having goals in your life. He always said sports are a good way of learning and having fun. During my childhood i played different sports, soccer, golf and football. Ever since i started following the NFL or any soccer league, i couldn’t understand why my father had so many favorite teams. In a child’s mind, his favorite team is a very importante deal. Even it can be as importante as his hole childhood memories. For me it has been that important in my life and having a father who support so many teams as a child make me feel confused. One day he supported Real Madrid and the next day he can support Barcelona. When I was in middle school i started thinking he didnt care at all about sports and my hole life he was just forcing me to do something that he didnt even like. Years passed, and when i was in my favorite team’s stadium (Real Madrid’s stadium the Santiago Bernabeu) i asked my father if he would like if i bought him the new Real Madrid’s jersey. I was shocked by his answer that was a No. In that moment, all my life i had been thinking that he supported Real Madrid so i ask him what jersey he will like me to get him, because i was going to different cities in europe and i would have the opportunity to visit different stadiums. He told me that he would like the Arsenal jersey, a London team. I asked him why he had never told me that he supported that team. I never expected what he said to me, he never told me because he did not want to influence my preferences, and that he wanted me to have my own one. At that moment I realized that usually parents make their children have the same tastes as them. but my father did the opposite thing, he had the same taste as his son. So during my childhood, my father’s favorite team was his son’s favorite team.
