I'm stepping from my darkness,

And bathing in your light,

The sun is finally rising,

On this eternal night,

You're all I ever wanted,

Though I didn't know it,

Your innocence has shown me,

Something I'd forgotten,

And I said....



There's no place that I'd rather be,

Than anywhere with you next to me,

I close my eyes and you're all I see,

It's your caress that cleanses me.



The breath was taken from me,

The night you said goodbye,

My heart said hold on to her,

My mind said let it die,

Why did it hurt me so bad,

It was only a short time,

My hands they wont stop shaking,

The tears fall from my eyes,

And I said......



Take your gift away from me,

I've been infected by your disease,

I close my eyes you're all I can see,

It's your caress that cleanses me.



Like some kind of tragic story,

All that lives must die,

Just like a shooting star,

The brightest sight in the sky,

In a world that was so perfect,

You wouldnt have to cry,

No matter what may happen,

I'll always be by your side,

And I said.....
