Barbarous Truths
barbed wire comments laid out for all to see
but only few understand the meaning behind them
the one who would be cut by these comments no longer cares
or just doesn't have time for the one with the savior complex
the world abandoned you, and so did you
but my thoughts were ever with you
despite the fact that my body lies across the country
you're giving up, and giving in
to the despair that got you where you went
it's not healthy, it's not helpful
and the self-imposed isolation from the ones who care
or maybe just me
does you no good.
