Temptation beckons when will I give in?
These waters are deep and I'm only learning to swim
trying to stay on the path so straight
trying to heal, and not hesitate
one side says it's only a matter of time
the other side begs me not to cross the line
don't demean yourself, you're stronger than that
you're weak as they come, and so full of crap
abhorrent thoughts rage through my brain
against these thoughts I do strain
you're weak and hopeless and not worth these rhymes
give it up, you'll give in, just a matter of time
Back and forth, neither side gives way
trying to stray from old habits so fey
