And everyone

What have we done?

Sing a note or two for me

And one for you

It's not that fun

Because dying inside

Is so hard to hide

When the air in my lungs

Is fighting so hard to escape

One last breath I take...



Today is not the last day

You will see my smiling face

Today is not the first time

I will throw all logic away

When the heart and the mind

Don't work together in time

I have to pick which one I should trust

I trust the heart because

It has made it feel ok

I trust the heart because

It slowly takes the pain away



Speak to me, the truth

About how you really feel

I know it's hard to say

But you already took my breath away

If I break down inside

These tears I will hide

And I'll pretend that it's all ok

Because to me, you are

Everything that makes me breathe
