In the Dark Cavern

In the recesses of my mind

Where all things stand still

The sound of voices echoing

Gives me a sudden chill

You were there,

And now you’re gone

Love and anger blend

And then turn to stone

Dead and alive

What an odd way to feel

I don’t know which path

To go on to heal

In death there is quiet

With a guarantee of no pain

In life there is unknown

Will this drive me insane??

My sanity I hold dear

But I crossed the line

Nothing between light and dark

Am I totally blind??

In the recesses of my mind

I hear a voice in the air

The sound of me crying

I need to leave this despair…
