It's a city all in gold

Upon arrival
You walk down a glass stair
Dressed in sparkling cloths
Falling sequence brushes your hair.
The people there are beautiful
Yet they kneel and kiss your feet
The sky is liquid silver
Above a diamond studded street.
A celebration is thrown in your honor
And the sweets they give are endless
Men and women dance for you
This mystical world is truly bliss.
You only get one invitation
And I've already been there once
It's an amazing exhilaration
As it seems to last for months.
I looked up your name
In the book of honored guests
It seems you were crossed out
Your letter in the trash.
Guess you'll never realize
The city you'll never miss
Guess you just weren't good enough
To make it on the list.
