I walked in someone's shoes today
On a sea breathed graveled path
My toes grew numb from salt bitten glass
And belongings clutched on low hung backs
I walked in someone's shoes today
In the blood that soaked their feet
And wanted so much to cleanse myself
With a well kept purified sheet
I walked in someone's shoes today
Looking to find long lost hope
Instead found raindrops echoing passages
Of abandoned shipwrecks ropes
I walked in someone's shoes today
Found silk beneath my feet
Golden treasures of divine pleasure
And found this person was me
