you know there’s somethin just out of your reach

an ancient secret that could teach you all you want to know

about life and where it’s headed to next

every answer to every test and every debt that you owe

somethin’s blockin your progress, but you have to find it

like a brick wall that has to be blinded

so you can move without it slidin, blockin the way

of every step in the right direction you try to take



but then somebody knocks you down while you climb

you gotta start from the bottom like someone hit rewind

and then somebody else cuts you off on the road

you keep gettin pushed back don’t wanna lose control



i’d really like to build a house in the sky

on a cloud floating by all the cities below

without a worry in my head or my heart

over the stop and start of morning traffic flow

a sound startles me out of my world of pretend

that’s just the music creepin up again

it had to sneak up n jump me from behind

and judo its way flippin switches back into my mind
