I’ve been coverin thousands of miles
in the blink of an eye.
Can you see me now?
I can lift off the ground
Cuz I got high epectations
of myself and everyone else
you better get on board
cuz you know you can’t afford
to sit and count the moments passin by
been counting money been countin sheep
been countin all of your pills, but only some of your dreams
been countin points cuz you’re keepin score
been countin faults against you, but every day you’re still sore
nothin’s been settled
and nothin’s been fixed
the pile keeps gettin bigger
and you just can’t resist
the urge to take it
out on yourself
wake up everyday
with a second hand smile
you got from someone else
yeah it took you a while
to formulate a plan
to get out
get out of your life
that kinda thing
comes in its own time
but don’t worry that I’m runnin just a little bit late,
I had to rewind
to get here before i left
like a flight around the globe
i’m still on the same day
cuz i came from tomorrow
i’m tryin to take you with me
but you’re trapped in a rut
I can come back later
once you think you’ve had enough
cuz you look a little busy right now
so you better stand back

Fly like I gotta go put out the fires
in the ozone layer, cuz we been crossin its wires
I gotta quench em before they spread
faster than the thoughts comin outta your head
It’s not that I’m the only superhero around
or even that i’m the only one who can hear the sound
of the atmosphere sounding its alarm in the air
Apparently, I’m the only one left who cares
cuz they all think that if the fire spreads n falls from the sky
down on all of your cities from New York to Hawaii
and all the rest of the world burns down the same
from Venezuela to Russia, from China to Spain
that would be justice.
that would be long overdue.
but it isn’t time yet
lucky for US.
