At first we thought we’d never make it.
No one was available,
plans we made were falling off to the side
like scales, feathers and fur
leaping off their host
in a desperate attempt to disconnect.
We traveled miles in search of resolution.
What we got for our trouble was a facade,
but we didn’t know it yet.
All we knew,
was that we had wasted our time,
and we had help.
Someone eager to destroy
all that we’ve been building up.
We came back,
spirits worn out and ravenous,
our bodies following suit.
We tamed the beast and became fluid,
ready to confuse each other into understanding.
Ready for the night, we met it head on,
and we were conquered
by a lack of reality.
Now we are held prisoner
by intagibility.
Who can set us free?
