To truly dream is daring,
reserved for the dedicated
bravest of the few
tenacious chasers
of ever changing goals.
The few will have the dream
yet fewer still will follow through,
the former wasting their commitment
on a fading static view.
Status Quo is easy to achieve
success even more so
but a dream is something bigger
something harder to control.
For,
to truly dream opposes
prescribed forms of sanity and
in fact, the only cure
of maddened mindsets
that only search out souls.
Insanity’s release
enabled only by pursuit
of such intangible designs
which refuse to follow suit.
These kind of dreams often mocked,
patronized and disbelieved
unappreciated in their time
have legacies to leave.
To truly dream is foreign,
in such a hope there lies the only
chance to reconcile
the criticisms
that threaten greatest minds.
