Early 20s You know the expression,
“Pinch me, I must be dreaming.”
The idea that if you are in reality,
It will hurt.
And if you are dreaming,
It won’t.
No hurt...
No “ow”...
But why...?
Dreams are not painless:
They are filled with all the pain
that the real world has,
Sometimes even more...
My dreams are often filled
with chaos and distress,
Far more than I have ever
experienced in reality.
So rather than pinch me because things are good...
Pinch me so I know it’s real and can’t get any worse...

Very true! Dreams can hold so much pain. Sometimes the best feeling is waking up. The pinch would have been nice to have during the dream of course. :)
