have you ever felt you are slipping

so casually being cast aside

as your mind knows it happening

your heart slowly breaks inside.

have you ever tried so desperatly

to hold on to the past

knowing the feelings not mutual

and it cant possibly last

have you ever turned on the radio

and cried to every love song played

remembering the good times

and how u wish he'd stayed

have you re-played his words

over and over in your head

wondering what went wrong

or what you could have said

have you stared at nothing

as the tears roll down your face

does it even occur to him

how your heart holds and empty space.
