Like a role in a cryer's play
I carried out the lead
I played my part
And played it well
I was forced to beg, to plead
Get down onto my knees
With tears flowing free
Through swollen bloodshot eyes
And I could barely see
I cried within, cried without,
Unfulfilled feelings strewn about
I felt the presence of your eyes
As they witnessed my falling apart
They percieved quite well
The coming undone of my ill-fated heart.
