It only takes a moment-
To smile at you when you called my name,
To look in your eyes as you speak,
And listen to your life stories.
It only takes a moment-
To say your name and wave hello,
To sit beside you for a hot coffee,
And wash the dishes out on a cold morning.
It only takes a moment-
To walk with you in the park,
To enjoy smelling the fresh flowers,
And have fun boat riding out on a rain.
It only takes a moment-
To chat with you in the afternoon,
To take pictures and go shopping,
And listen to old music and dance in the moonlight.
It only takes a moment-
To change what we know about each other,
A single spark to set out a fire.
To make you and me a part of each other’s life.
