@ 27.225 MHz: Avaloniad, 3; Breakfast With Joseph

The Words and Deeds of Christ can never fail.
Against all obstacles they shall prevail.
The Gospel makes all worldly baubles pale
withered, and worthless in comparison.
Nothing is like what Christ has said and done.
That which is worldly soon grows sour and stale;
even the most expensive wine and bread.
Our human memories are weak and frail,
and tempests of emotion jerk the head
about.  But, Brother John, these precious scroll---
penned at your table---which declares your full
faith in our Lord will long refresh my soul.

In uncommon style of common Greek,

your words record the Truth, not some mere tale:

and bring refreshment like an offered grail,

giving the Gospel that we all should seek.

We cherish that, even on this far isle

sheltered from the high priests' rage and denial.

My gratitude is borne in this brief letter---

your testimony makes our days far better.
