The Haunting You

I listened to the sound of nothing
then silence whispered you.

It’s 5 am and raining
and I heard the sound of you

I listened to a dragging song
it’s words are singing you

I looked into my eyes

and stared right back at me is you

I listened to my thoughts and it
told me tales of you

I dug inside the core of my pain
and what I found there
   …is you.
