Falling

We stood on the rocky cliff of hope

And I dove right into your eyes

And I stroked the flame of your silken hair as

Beautiful as sunsetting skies.

We stood on the precipice of passion's desire

And I dove right into your skin

And sank like a stone to your warmest deep

Praying never to surface again.

We stood on the lip of wonder's abyss

And I slipped like a fool into your gaze

And lost like a wonderstruck, thunderstruck boy

Was I in your sweet, hazel maze.

We stood on the bank of lover's hearts

And I waded to my hips in you

And felt the gentle caress of your hands

Rushing by me in bottomless blue.

We stood on the rocky cliff of hope

Admiring God's miraculous view

And I stroked the flame of your burning hair

As I silently fell into you
