Questions Asked Nor Answered

An angel I came into this world,

To save my mother's life from pain.

Baring the scars of many mighty blows,

On my shoulder sit nor answered.

What type of man abuses the power of love,

A man that known what is its greatness.

Why did he hurt me-my angel's unborn child,

From the womb my reason for being is clear.

Success came shortly after a hard birth,

I had saved the life of my angel.

Saved from the exact same thing that haunts me,

In my head questions asked nor answered.

Ashamed of the terror that made me,

Proud of the angel that loved thee.

For if she had not had me to protect,

Her life indeed would have been no more.

My job here is done and I still suffer,

Confusion, fear, and anger intertwined.

How, what, and when I continue to ask,

For upon me leaving this place-peace follows.
