This has come to pass

Still I know not why

Burning inside my mind

With each day that goes by

Just beyond my grasp

Is some missing part

Leading me to the end

Then we must depart

The candle is blown out

I'm left alone in the dark

To find the answers

On this journey I will embark

Without a light to guide me

I know not where to go

I must find my way alone

Though the going will be slow

I look back into the past

Searching for a guide

But no one will come

And the longing has died
