Swimming in my head all day

are all these thoughts of you

i listen to my teachers speak

but not a word gets through

all the what if's and hope so's

circling around in my brain

what if i drown in my pool

what if you crash in a plane

i hope we last forever

i hope you won't break my heart

what if i'm just naive

for praying we never part

i must stop this silly thinking

and focus on what's true

i try to think about my work

but all i think of is you
