We the People

Folder:

You sacrifice you lives for freedom

we go on with daily life

we get up and go to school or work

a husband widows his wife

soldiers are getting blown away

we fight amongst ourselves

we nit and pick with neighbors

a son's now a picture on a shelf

kids just graduated now are dead

we practice freedom of speech

we say that we're ashamed

they put us out of harm's reach

marines follow orders and fight

we cry when they're all gone

we should have supported them

but for us life goes on.

Author's Notes/Comments:

In light of the sept. 11 attacks and Operation Iraqi Freedom, I believe that we the people need to come together and support out troops who are fighting so our lives may go on. obviously, the ashamed movie stars didn't lose anyone in New york and don't have family over in Iraq. they say they are ashamed, I am ashamed to have them live in America. The plane goes both ways, get a one way ticket to Iraq and try to practice your freedom of speech there, you traitors!!!
