Sensations swirling upon the frozen heart
For what result?
The thawing of pain, and now it overflows
Regret, regret, the past is a friend not erased.
Heart, beat not for a dream that has yet to start,
But to just declare it so, an impossibility
As impossible as stopping tides from rising,
Stopping the moonlight's silver from shining,
Stopping a love-poisoned soul
From wandering aimlessly around
Stopping oxygen from filling ravenous lungs...
Think, think, I cannot think
For the mind is filled with restless dreams
And its effect a reflection of needs and wants
On the needy heart whose fate it taunts.
Unable to hinder, too violent to stop,
Like drowning in a pool of fantasies
Too deep to fathom,
Lifted out of space and time
Into the turbulent waters
You are creating with love,
Unstoppable sinking and sinking,
Lost in sensations,
And never again to be found.
Why do we wish for these things to stop?
In truth we don't. And so,
Sensations swirling upon the heart
For now just let them flow.
And for what result? I don't know.
