"Moonless Suicide"

She awoke to see the moonlight.

Shining through her window.

It was an eerie pale blue.

She remembered how on,

Nights like these she would,

Get up and go outside.

Into the pale blue moonlight.

But no, not tonight.

Tonight she had to prepare.

Prepare to leave this place.

No more waiting.

Finally he had called to her.

And she dare not put it off.

For deep down she wanted to go.

Because to be with him she,

Would give up everything.

As she made the bed and,

Laid down into it she,

Reached into her pocket.

And out came a razor blade.

Gleaming ever so brightly,

In the moonlight.

And then suddenly the moon disappeared.

How funny it was, She had loved the moonlight so.

But tonight it chose, to hide its face.

Tonight was the night she decided to have

Her moonless suicide.
