"Unforgiving"

She cries out loud for help.

But no one can hear over the rain.

Pounding on the tin roof of the small house.

She cries again for someone.

But the cry becomes a whisper once escaping her lips.

She cries I need you, I need you all.

But no one comes to her aid.

She closes her eyes and falls asleep.

Receeding back into her own mind.

She awakes again the next morning.

Eyes swollen and unforgiving.

She hears the bluebirds outside.

And sees the sun shining down.

Shes so weak from weeping she cannot move.

She lays perfectly still.

Hoping that the ache will go away.

The ache inside her own heart.

The one that breaks her down everyday.

But the ache becomes more unbearable with every heartbeat.

She closes her eyes and goes back to sleep.

Hoping to never again wake.

To a world so Unforgiving.
