The muddy ground
The falling rain
Running through
The empty streets
Shattered and broken
The buildings lie
Wrap up tightly
As cold winds fly
Grey and lifeless
A shop once stood
Food now rotten
In ancient wood
Reminding hunger
To rumble forth
Tripping over
A dirty lump
Now so curious
To wipe the clump
A face stares back
In frozen fear
Its stench overwelms
To cause a tear
