[after LXX Genesis 41:45 and LXX 2nd Samuel 12:25, and Revelation 22:16 with Philippians 2:12-13 and Luke 19:13]
Henceforth I must obey Jesus, my Lord and God's Son,
and use as my screen name Januarian:
derived, as I hope will be obvious,
from my Orthodox Chrismation name, Januarius.
And I pray, having made this change,
that nothing shall alienate or estrange,
my friends. But this must be, and has been, finished and done.
Following the Liturgical Calendar of the West:
of the Magi's journey in and toward Faith the name shall declare.
This the lot in earthly life that I am privileged to bear.
Thank you, Stephen, for the beautiful card
that made this decision easy; Christ blessed it not to be hard.
He has brought me along through this journey, as I have read
in His Scriptures; I walk with those starward-led.
Thank you for the mention.
What one calls himself is a deeply personal decision especially when the decision is within the spriritual range,
Thank you for understanding,
Thank you for understanding, my Dear Friend (your friendship being far better than I deserve). This hospital stay has been like a visit to a monastery; the quiet and silence allows my Faith to speak to me.
Januarian (in Chrismation, Januarius)
Silence
Inner silence is for our race a difficult achievement. There is a chattering part of the mind which continues, until it is corrected, to chatter on even in the holiest places.
