I am glad to confess this here and openly:
to my Faitn, as it is, in Christianity
I have broughta kind of sentimentality;
some of it from my own personal history.
Christ knows, and I do also, that I am broken---
failures, flaws, faults and a lot of rank perfidy.
But to my soul, Christ, my Savior, has spoken:
in His Words, the Gospels', that I have read and heard,
I know my Salvation is secure and assured.
His Promise, I have gladly, joyously, received:
that I shall live with Him in His eternity
because I, even I, have utterly believed.
So the Gospels, especially Saint John's, proclaimed.
I boast my dependence on Christ: I am not ashamed.
