Christ's Cross is as empty as His Tomb
so that no disbelieving doubt dare presume
that our Lord Jesus, the Christ, has failed.
No!, this Easter Morning, Love, our Salvation has prevailed.
Life and Light, Love's Gifts, through Christ, to us
have not perished, nor sputtered out in a loss
we need never fear again. Though disbelievers lift a loud fuss,
Christ's Tomb is as empty as His Cross.
Though this surprise of shock shall spin the Evil One's head,
Christ has taken His Life up again, Christ is risen from the dead!
