@ 27.055 MHz: Ad Astra; How P. B. Courted You In College, 1979-80

By the time you arrive. he has already removed his shoes.

and lit the fireplace, which is blazing forth light and

warmth.  Decorative but fat pillows are plentifully

scattered across the floor where he, P. B. sits:

P. B., the most beautiful student in class---courting you.

Awkwardness and attributed ugliness no longer torment

you:  P. B.'s attention makes you feel desirable, for the

first time since you entered adolescence.  He is clad in a

long-sleeved, button-down teal shirt, gray slacks and

black socks:  provocatively fragrant and, you will soon (and

eagerly) experience, very flavorful; as will be his

profuse and glistening sweetness when, later, his lofter

releases it to you during exquisite intimacy.

No matter how old prudes' hatred assails

the affection between two newly legal males:

here in his embrace, Love triumphs and prevails.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is NOT fictive.  The description of P. B.'s clothing is ekphrastic, including those socks.
