A petite little china doll sitting on a shelf,
A petite little china doll, all by herself.
A pretty painted face with green eyes and red lips,
And pretty orange paint on her fingertips.
Her dress is red and black, very soft and long,
With this little china doll, nothing could be wrong!
Her hair is charcoal black and pulled up in a bun,
Secured with wooden hair sticks, that's how it's done.
Her skin is very pale, very close to white,
And on her shelf she glows with a most angelic light.
In her hand she holds a fan, covering her cheeks,
Her eyes are wide and searching, I wonder what she seeks?
She sits there so elegantly, no dust upon her face,
No other dolls compare to her, no one to take her place.
