Only Eva Can Decide For Her Life
The summer had finally come in Toronto after a long and horrible winter. The temperature registered 30 degrees on Marilee Street.
A very beautiful girl named Eva was washing the dishes and watching her soap when her mother came home from work. Eva forgot for a moment that her mother comes home from her job at two of the afternoon. Usually Eva shouts the TV down before her mother comes home, but today she totally forgot. Eva said. hi mom in a sweet voice. Her mother replied in an angry voice, how many times I have to tell you don’t watch soaps. Soaps are not allowed in my house because they are the work of the devil get it, her mom shouted at her. She carried on explaining to her daughter how a future nun should behave.
Eva was anointed by her mother, because she had heard those words 1000, times but she still listened to what she had to say. She usually does all the house work however; she gets no appreciation from her mother. Eva is only 20 years old, but she is very mature for her age. She always felt that her mother was hiding something from her, because Eva’s father died before Eva was born, and her mother had never talked to Eva about her father. Eva replied in a low voice sorry mom but she didn’t mean it because in this soap her favourite actor named Juan Casasola played in there.
Juan was one of the best Mexican actors. His eyes were very firry and very seductive in the same time that can undress a woman by only looking at her. He had very kissable lips following his macho mustache that made him so sexy to her eyes and plus he was the cousin of her best friend Tina who, Eva shared all her secrets with.
So you did what I told you to do her mom asked her? Eva replied yes I did. Her mother was very mean, very religious and very selfish lady who decided that her daughter was going to be a nun without knowing what Eva really wanted for her life. Eva had no real vocation for becoming a nun. In fact, she was interested in men like every girl at her age. Despite that, she was going to be a nun just to make her mom happy because she was very selfless and she loved her mom after all.
Later in the day Tina called Eva and invited her to come over to study as always. Eva asked her mom for permission. Her mother said in an annoying tone, yeah you can go but you must promise me that you are going to study and talk about God, and not about Tina’s cousin from hell. Eva replied in a boring voice, I promise. Every time that Eva sees Tina, Eva’s mother says the same thing, or she does not allow her daughter to spend time with her only friend. Eva’s mother always had seen Tina, as a threat to her daughter because Tina was fun loving and boy crazy. She was worried that Tina’s ways will take Eva away from becoming a nun.
Eva wore a sweat suit and tied her long curly hair in a ponytail and she was out the door. Eva knocked the door Tina opened the door and smiled by saying finally your wonderful mother let you out of the house. Eva laughed and said, my mom is so wonderful because she planned the rest of my life. Tina replied in Spanish, ay chica don’t say that only you can plan your life. Eva said, let’s forget about my mom.
Eva asked, is anyone home? Tina replied, no nobody ugly. What you mean? asked Eva. Tina said, I mean that I have something very beautiful at my home that you want but it’s not a person. Eva replied is a flower? Tina didn’t say anything. They walked in the living room. Eva couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw what’s sitting on the sofa. Tina had prepared her a surprise named Juan Casasola. Tina said to Eva, well I lied to you so if you want to kill me kill me, or if you want to thank me thank me. Then she introduced Eva with Juan. Juan looked sexier in person. He said, hi Eva and he gave her a kiss on her cheek. Eva was only able to say hi back because Eva had never been kissed by a man before. She had dreamed to feel his mustache so many times. Few minutes later Eva said, sorry I acted like a little girl. Juan said, I am sorry for kissing you I did it because you are very beautiful young lady. Eva felt like she was in Haven but she behaved like she was talking with her friends because she knew that he was a person like everybody else. Both Eva and Juan were enjoying the company of each other so much they did not know that Tina was not there anymore and was getting dark outside. They talked about the show business and how soap operas were made. Juan invited Eva to set of his soap opera, but Eva had to say no, because she knew that her mother never would let her.
It was getting late, and Eva had to leave, because her mother wanted her home by 9 o’clock. Juan volunteered to walk with Eva. They walked and talked about the problems that Eva and her mother have. Juan said to Eva, I know how much you love your mother, because I have a mother too, but you’re the boss of your life my dear. Juan’s words really touched Eva. They were by the window of Eva’s house.
Juan said to Eva promise me that you will never become a nun before I go, because you are the woman for me. Eva replied with a tear on her eye I can’t Juan I can’t. They kissed passionately on the lips.
Eva’s mother was in front of them. She started to yell at Eva. You are a nun, but Tina the slut took you away from God. Eva replied why do you want me to be a nun so much? Her mom responded, god told me that you should be a nun. Eva replied I don’t believe that God told you so. I always felt like you are hiding something from me Eva continued. Please mom tell me the real reason why should I become a nun Eva insisted. Juan said bye to Eva, and he left. Her mother Burst into tiers, and said to Eva, because you are the daughter of a hooker. Eva was shocked by the words of her mother. My parents died when I was 15 years old, and I was the oldest of four children and I started to sell my body so my little siblings could have food on the table until I became pregnant her mother continued. She said to Eva, I wanted you to be a nun so God could forgive me, and I was afraid that the same thing could happen to you even though, it is impossible. Eva replied I understand you and I forgive you, but please understand that God didn’t want me to be a nun and serve him. Being a nun for me is like going to prison for the rest of my life. I am sorry to hurt you, but that is the truth said Eva. Her mother hugged her daughter, and she said I am very sorry for planning your future and only you can decide what you want for your life my sweetheart.
